The Cottage Collection and the companies in our group (hereafter referred to as "we," "us," or "our"), including umbrella management Laureate Private Resorts, are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This policy and our Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed. Please read the following to understand our practices regarding your personal data and how will be stored and processed.

  • This policy pertains to individuals that make use of our services (for example request a booking or stay with The Cottage Collection), as well as website visitors and other customers.

    This policy includes individuals inquiring about a booking, as well as any other members of their party for which a booking inquiry pertains to and information thereof is provided.

    The policy also includes any business, representative or proxy contacting us on an individual or a group's behalf.

    This policy also applies to individuals who have provided information to any of our companies, subsidiaries or partners in our group and under the Laureate Private Resorts umbrella, who have requested information or interest in The Cottage Collection.

    We cannot be held responsible for the way in which third parties process your data, even if the purpose of such is to make a booking at The Cottage Colleciton.

  • Processing your data refers to obtaining, recording, storing or holding your personal data, as well as applied processes, such as organising, adapting or altering it, retrieving, consulting or using it, disclosing it or otherwise making it available to others, combining it with other data, and blocking, erasing or destroying it.

    Your personal information will be used for its original purpose that it was provided or collected for (for example to process a booking and prepare for your stay). If we need to use it differently (for example to inform you of a special rate, discount or change in our offerings), we will make sure the new use is still related to the original one. Please contact us for any clarification should you have questions about how the new use relates to your interests and the original purpose.

  • Personal Information

    This includes your full name, mailing address, email address, phone number, social media account identifiers, profile pictures, and any publicly available data or information provided. This may also include information provided for criteria of your stay that we would record and store for the purposes of improving our service and offerings.

    Demographic Information

    This includes gender, age, language preferences, nationality, birthdays, anniversaries, and information provided about special occasions.

    Identification Information

    This includes government-issued identification, passports, visas, and any other personal data contained within these documents.

    Financial Information

    This includes credit card, debit card, or other payment details provided during your booking or stay.

    Travel Details

    This includes information about previous stays, interactions, purchases, special requests, travel itineraries, travel group data, activities, and employer details for business-related bookings.

    Accompanying Travellers

    This includes information about Family Members and Companions such as their names, ages of children, birthdays or contact information.

    Photos, Videos or Audio

    This involves recordings of your voice (only for for quality assurance during customer service calls for which you are asked for explicit permission), footage from security cameras in public areas of our properties, and recordings from on-staff cameras or digital creators of our staff.

    Stay Preferences or Special Requests

    This includes information about your interests, likes and dislikes about our services, dietary requirements, and other personal needs. Additionally, we may collect "Personal Preferences," which encompass details like significant anniversaries, preferred activities during your stay, hobbies, and details about your travel companions. If you provide Personal Data about others to us or our Service Providers (e.g., when making a reservation for someone else), you confirm that you have the necessary authority to do so, and you allow us to use the data in accordance with this Privacy Statement.

  • For maintenance and improvement of our digital or physical services, we collect data and cookies that do not personally identify you (are not linked to your name or personal information other than in the case that you provide this information through our website).

    System Data

    When using a mobile device or desktop, we collect information about your device type, browser and other information such as the model, language or online provider version through which you are accessing our website and digital marketing.

    Location and IP Address

    With your consent use of cookies, we log your IP address and location in order to calculate the effectiveness of our site, to diagnose any server issues and to enhance our user experience.

  • If we think you may be interested in our offerings, we may contact you directly to inform you about our products, services, and promotions. This means you are recognised as a customer, your preferences have been noted, and content and ads are customised just for you.     • You have made a booking with us and there is a legitimate business reason to do so for similar products or services.

For us to best address your concern or fulfill your request, please state in the subject line and message body why and what you would like to modify such as 'unsubscribe me from all marketing communications or 'delete my email: example@email.com'.

  • You may at any time request to know what personal data we are storing or processing, where it was sourced, who it is shared with or a copy of the data.

    Should you make such a request we may ask for proof of your identity. If proof of identity is not provided, please understand that we may not disclose personal information in order to protect it.

    Should the request require significant administrative resources, we will inform you of an administrative fee in such a case.
